Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace. He has looks and wealth, she has charm and elegance. You might not want to like them, but you do.

You’d like to get to know Grace better.

But it’s difficult, because you realise Jack and Grace are never apart.

Some might call this true love. Others might ask why Grace never answers the phone. Or how she can never meet for coffee, even though she doesn’t work. How she can cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim. And why there are bars on one of the bedroom windows.

Sometimes, the perfect marriage is the perfect lie.

To anyone who slated this book has clearly not been through anything like Grace has. I can honestly say I was gripped from the start, I was torn between needing to find out if her and Millie were going to be okay and fighting the urge to put it down because of my own memories (although nowhere near as severe) anyway, the only negative I have with this book is the way it ends. I find it rather flat in comparison to the rest of the story’s momentum. I think if it was a bit more rounded off at the end it’d have been the perfect thriller!

I was instantly drawn into the characters and found it hard to put the book down. This isn’t the type of book I usually read, but I am glad I did. Very clever writing and The imagination of the author is quite something.
