'I absolutely loved this book and didn’t want it to end' Liane Moriarty, author of Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers.

The Man Who Didn't Call
by Rosie Walsh is the perfect novel for anyone who's ever waited for a phone call that didn't come.

Imagine you meet a man, spend seven glorious days together, and fall in love. And it’s mutual: you’ve never been so certain of anything.

So when he leaves for a long-booked holiday and promises to call from the airport, you have no cause to doubt him.

But he doesn’t call.

Your friends tell you to forget him, but you know they're wrong: something must have happened; there must be a reason for his silence.

What do you do when you finally discover you're right? That there is a reason – and that reason is the one thing you didn't share with each other?

The truth.

For fans of Jojo Moyes and Liane Moriarty, this is the love story of the year . . .

The start of the book like so many these days; flips back and forth all through It goes from one person to another; back and forth in time. I find this tiresome and pointless. A book should move forward not backwards. The story was brilliant but the presentation could be easier and simpler. Not everyone can read all day to remember who’s who and what’s what and when.

What I thought was a brilliant and intriguing start to the book ended up in disappointment with every cliche and predictable ‘twist’ you could imagine thrown at it. Such a shame...

I really enjoyed the majority of this book! There were constant twists and turns and I loved that I couldn’t predict what what happening. There were times when I felt a bit disconnected from the story and I really didn’t enjoy how the majority of the novel was written from Sarah’s perspective and then randomly for around 60-70 pages it is portrayed from Eddies perspective? For me this part just didn’t flow and it distracted from the story. I would definitely recommend it as the story is so brilliant and I did get very invested in the characters! Definitely one that you can easily read in one sitting - purely because you can’t put it down!
