What makes us brilliant? What makes us deadly? What makes us Sapiens? Yuval Noah Harari challenges everything we know about being human in the perfect read for these unprecedented times.

Earth is 4.5 billion years old. In just a fraction of that time, one species among countless others has conquered it: us.

In this bold and provocative book, Yuval Noah Harari explores who we are, how we got here and where we’re going.

‘I would recommend Sapiens to anyone who’s interested in the history and future of our species’ Bill Gates

‘Interesting and provocative… It gives you a sense of how briefly we’ve been on this Earth’ Barack Obama

This is the worst book I’ve ever read . Don’t buy it . With Yuval , if you even try to follow the simplistic logic of this fashionable “woke “ drivel you would soon discover a “sixth form “ intellectual depth that is as deep as a child’s paddling pool . Anybody endorsing this shallow teenage emotional waffle will be shown to be gullible or believing this narrative has a useful manipulative quality for future use Though with Yuval , the notion that society is based on imaginary ideas that don’t exist may have some validity, because The idea that this bloke has letters after his name is equally hard to imagine actually exists . I guess universities give them away now , free with every fresher pack ? I doubt if these types have ever hear anything but their own confirmation bias.
  • The blurb of Human history.

    By UckUber
I would recommend reading this if you would like a great book about history as it has a coherent and entertaining writing style. The writer gives a brief synopsis of human history, morality and technological achievement. Do not expect to learn much about specific points in human history but rather a subtle reminder of the defining points which have influenced our species throughout our development and continue to do so in the present day. The writer encourages you engage with them and simply ask why things are the way they are.
  • Really thought-provoking read

Fascinating take on a history of the species and full of complex questions about our future, posed in a fairly non-judgemental manner.

I found this book while looking for information on success stories! What a book! Possibly all kids should study this story over the bible! A bare bones reflection on what we are and how we are told with humour and with an independent stance. In fact I’m going to start reading it again, you will be a different person after!
  • Everyone should read this book

A truly synoptic reading of human kind
